Small, smooth creatures who inhabit treasure sites and sunken pyrate ships ~ Sand Dollars are the ghostly remains of the quartermasters of those lost ships. They died at sea and remain faithful to their charge of guarding and distributing treasure. Each Sand Dollar is unique, one-of-a-kind, softly lovable, and comes with a denim duffle bag. The constant buffing by waves and churning of the sea during storms have smoothed their features and limbs. They share a strange aspect: their hands are firmly tucked into their pockets, symbolising their reluctance to give up the booty they've died for. In time, after centuries of service, Sand Dollars smooth down completely to appear as the familiar shell appearing on their chest and ultimately, they do become the Coin of the Realm of the Sea. One should handle Sand Dollars with care and respect for their essence remains immortal. Sand Dollars share their world with Sea Urchins.
