There is a very old bit of pyrate lore than tells of Sea Urchins, the souls of pyrate children lost at sea, who live in seawrecks and who guard the treasures of those ships.
Legend has it that if you see the Sea Urchins and you stop and play with them, they will let you take some of their treasure. They are, after all, lonely and your temporary companionship is a most welcome gift to them.
Each Urchin is one-of-a-kindand these are LIMITED EDITIONS - made of colourful pyrately decorated fleece, with a cotton heart depicting a pyratical design, black eyes and a real black belly-button, filled with fibrefil. Each Urchin holds a velveteen pouch containing a replica gold doubloon. Amazing, after so long beneath the sea, they've become softened and their edges are smoother and they look rather like starfish.
